1. Privacy at a glance
Our entire business depends on protecting sender identity. When you send a card anonymously, the recipient gets a card and nothing else — no return address, no name, no email, no tracking, no branding that ties back to you.
We still need a small amount of information to actually print and ship your order. This policy explains exactly what we collect, why we have it, and the very narrow circumstances under which it could ever leave our hands.
2. What we collect
- Your contact email. So we can send you the receipt and tracking link.
- Billing information. Handled entirely by PayPal — we never see or store your card numbers.
- Recipient details. The name and mailing address of the person receiving the card.
- Your custom message, if you wrote one.
- Basic site analytics. Anonymous aggregated traffic data to help us improve the site.
3. How we use it
- To print, address, package, and mail your card.
- To send you order confirmations and shipping updates.
- To respond to support requests.
- To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and harassment (see our Harassment & Misuse Policy).
- To comply with our legal obligations.
4. How anonymous sending really works
When you select "Anonymous" at checkout:
- The envelope ships with no return address printed on it.
- The card itself contains no sender name, email, or branding that identifies you.
- We include no packing slip, no receipt, and no invoice inside.
- Your information stays only in our internal order system; it never travels with the card.
The only way the recipient learns who sent the card is if you sign the message yourself or write something that gives you away. That's on you.
6. Legal disclosure
We will disclose your identity to law enforcement or affected third parties if (a) we receive a valid legal order such as a subpoena or court order, or (b) we reasonably believe disclosure is necessary to prevent imminent harm or to comply with our Acceptable Use Policy. We will not voluntarily hand over sender information to disgruntled recipients without legal process.
7. Data retention
We retain order records for up to 7 years for accounting, tax, and legal-compliance reasons. After that, identifying information is permanently deleted from our active systems. Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data (GDPR, CCPA, PIPEDA, etc.). To exercise any of these, email info@cuntcards.ca. We'll verify your request and respond within 30 days.
